Primetime Parlay: Eagles vs. Texans Same Game Parlay Picks

Eagles vs Texans Same Game Parlay

ScoresAndOdds’ ParlayIQ tool utilizes thousands of simulations of RotoGrinders’ NFL Statistical projections to construct profitable same game parlays across sports betting sites. We will examine stats, roster news, trends, player props and betting odds across sportsbooks to pick the most profitable combination of outcomes for primetime NFL matchups. Today, we build a Thursday Night Football same game parlay for the Eagles vs Texans.

After a few entertaining matchups in prime time, the NFL reverts back to significantly less interesting for Thursday Night Football. The Houston Texans will welcome the undefeated Eagles for a battle of the hammer and the nail. The Eagles continue to beat up on bad football teams only to find themselves playing another bad team. The Texans seem likely to play the string out as a team completely committed to rebuilding. When the intrigue is missing, we can always build a same-game parlay ticket on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Same Game Parlay for Eagles vs. Texans

All present information suggests that we are in for a one-sided affair this evening. The Eagles are prohibitive favorites at -14 on FanDuel Sportsbook with a -105 price associated with the Philadelphia side. The implied game total rests at 45.5 points with a -105 price on the over.

The point spread opened at -11.5 this past Sunday and has steadily climbed over the course of the short week. The betting public agrees with the betting money on this one with 80% of both betting tickets and betting money resting on the Philadelphia side of the spread. Tickets are split on the implied total while 87% of the money bet sits with the under. The sharp bettors seem to like the under in this game. What does ParlayIQ think?

As for injuries, we don’t have much to report on the Eagles side save the loss of rookie Jordan Davis. Davis was drafted in April to man the DT position and will be out until Week 13 after being placed on the IR. As for the Texans, Houston will be without Nico Collins. Further, Brandin Cooks is questionable. Marked questionable with a wrist injury, Cooks is very frustrated after not being moved and has not been with the team. His status is very much in question. Phillip Dorsett seems locked into a WR2 role with room for more if Cooks doesn’t play tonight.

Editor’s Note: NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Brandin Cooks is not expected to play

The Texans seem ripe for the picking with the Eagles’ offensive side of the ball. Can we include a Texans as a leg? Let’s build our ticket.

Same Game Parlay Picks – Eagles & Texans Props

Dameon Pierce Over 64.5 Rushing Yards

The Eagles ranks in the bottom five of the NFL in opponent rushing yards per attempt. Without Jordan Davis, this might be the only way the Texans can make this game even remotely close. Without Nico Collins and potentially without Brandin Cooks, Lovie Smith will certainly lean on the run game for as long as he possibly can. Will the Eagles make that impossible?

That feels pretty likely. That being said, a full half of Dameon Pierce getting a full workload could be enough to approach this number. Pierce has routinely shown a penchant for making an enormous splash play. One long run might make this prop bet even more likely.

ParlayIQ figures Pierce goes over this total in 61% of the simulations. The price tag based on that percentage should be -157. According to ParlayIQ, this is a really good leg with which to open up a ticket.

Phillip Dorsett Over 35.5 Receiving Yards

I bet you didn’t expect two Houston Texan legs to open up our same-game parlay ticket. That said, with the uncertainty surrounding the WR corps, I think this is a very, very strong bet.

ParlayIQ agrees as 64% of the simulations include Dorsett going over. These simulations are based upon Brandin Cooks playing at the time of this writing. The number should only go up. Get this bet in as early as possible. We add this leg and that concludes our Texans’ prop picks.

Dallas Goedert Over 46.5 Receiving Yards

Dallas Goedert comes off of a productive week against the Pittsburgh Steelers — a game where teammate A.J. Brown was the story. Goedert secured all of his six targets for 60 yards. Now, Goedert matches up with a weaker defense.

RotoGrinders projects Goedert for six targets and almost 60 receiving yards. Hurts might be able to spread the ball around but Goedert has only missed exceeding this total twice this season.

ParlayIQ and myself are not backing down against this terrible defense. Give me the over.

Jalen Hurts Over 41.5 Rushing Yards

Finally, we arrive at this contest’s true star. Jalen Hurts is proving naysayers wrong with each monstrous offensive day. The Eagles’ schedule is easy. We are likely going to see one of the best fantasy seasons of all time by the end of 2022.

Hurts continues to throw effectively while remaining a massive threat on the ground. Miles Sanders might have a field day but the Eagles seem very content to cede work to other running backs. Sanders only toted the football 9 times last week in a lopsided victory. Hurts will be on the field the entire game and when the Texans miss or play man, one of the better athletes in the NFL will make them pay.

If you like this ticket, jump on it as soon as possible before any Cooks’ updates change the landscape.
