FanDuel Single Entry Series Recap
Recently, RotoGrinders.com and FanDuel teamed up to present a Single Entry Series with four weekly leaderboard winners earning seats to a $25K Live Final in Nashville. The series was a great success with total entrants topping 70,000 over the month-long competition.
Not surprisingly, RotoGrinders members dominated the contest, with all four seats and over 60% of the weekly leaderboard bonus payments going to RG members. To read a full breakdown of the winners and their lineups, read the excellent recaps provided by Nicole Valencia in each header.
Week 1 – Recap
The first week of single entry competition gave everyone a chance to compete as the buy-in’s were just $1. The contest got off to a scorching start and if you didn’t own Kris Bryant in the opening GPP then it was going to be hard to compete for the title that week as he put up a monstrous 81 point performance thanks to three home runs. The weeks eventual winner, sysear would have Bryant in his lineup and would end up with a solid 16th place finish in that opening contest. He would take command by following that up with a 76th place finish the very next day. His lineups the next three days would fall short but two cashes on Saturday (including a 114th place finish in the early slate) would give him a comfortable lead heading into the final day. It was a lead he would hold on to as he would win by 22.70 points over fellow RG member bookerman102
Week 2 – Recap
The second week saw a bump up to a $25 buy-in level and it was doctor_doom, who would dominate the week with two top three finishes. Just to make sure no one would come even close to him, doctor_doom would finish 13th in the final contest of the week to win by a staggering 83.70 points over second place finisher straface23. The final margin of victory would be the largest of the competition.
Week 3 – Recap
The third week was another affordable week for single entry players as the buy-in level was $5. It would also be the most intense of all the weeks in terms of coming down to the wire as to who won the seat to the final in Nashville. rjmazeika seemingly had no shot heading into the weekend as he had only one finish that was significant (an impressive fifth place finish though) and was trailing eventual 13th place finisher jayz4dayz72 by over 150 points. A solid Saturday (457th) and Sunday early slate (128th) for rjmazeika moved him up the standings but he still had a ways to go and only one contest left. kirkdiese held the top spot after a 222.30 108th place finish in the Sunday early slate and rjmazeika would need a score topping 180 in the final contest to overtake him. He would do just that by putting up a 26th place 198.50 and would hold off all the other challengers to win the seat to the Nashville live final.
Week 4 – Recap
The last week was the biggest buy-in level of the entire contest with $50 being the amount it would take to enter a contest. zshoom would get off to a roaring start with top four finishes in the Tuesday main slate and Wednesday early slate. He would follow that up with a top 100 finish in the Wednesday main slate and would never look back on his way to a 45.20 victory over raisefoool.

One impressive performance to note from a non RotoGrinders.com member was that of kmt_, who took 13th in Week 2 and 7th in Week 3. He was the only person to place in the top 15 on two different occasions. Here’s a look at all those who made the top 15 and earned the bonus cash prizes.
