FantasyAces Announces $250,000 Live MLB Final at Angel Stadium
Yet another live final has been announced for what will be a busy summer across the DFS industry, as FantasyAces released details on their FantasyAces World Baseball Championship. This 20-man, $250,000 event will be held at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, and will feature some unique experiences as a part of the live final package.
The winner of the final will collect a check for $100,000, but everyone in attendance will be a part of some events that have yet to be seen at a DFS live final. The qualifiers will spend the day at the Angels’ ballpark, getting behind the scenes tours and a chance to participate in a Home Run Derby with a live feed of the event going on the stadium’s huge scoreboard.
The players will then sweat out the final at the ballpark in the Ketel One Club, making this the first live final to take place at a sporting event on the slate for the contest. DraftKings’ PGA live final will be the second when it takes place a month later.
The FantasyAces staff have also put together a yacht excursion for the night before the event, and a brunch at a local sports bar the morning after as the finalists get one last chance to relive the memories of the day before as they head back home.
Satellites and qualifiers begin during the first week of the season, and one finalist will be named every week until the 20-man lineup is filled.
Live finals are becoming such a popular element of the DFS landscape, and it’s clearly bringing out some creativity from the sites as they attempt to provide something to stand out and attract the attention of customers seeking big prizes, bragging rights and awesome experiences at these championship events. FantasyAces will be combining their biggest prize payout with a once-in-a-lifetime day filled with baseball and fantasy sports for this particular event, and it seems more than worth a few shots at qualifiers.
