Finding Paydirt: Week 12 Results
Happy Tuesday, Grinders! The third month of the NFL season is over and we finish with a repeat victor. This victor is also far ahead of the field in the overall standings. Somebody will need a really big month to catch up. Well, given we will be playing this contest for five more weeks, perhaps somebody can utilize the extra contest to play catch up. I have no more words for 1010mg. The man is a force in this touchdown game. His 13-touchdown month was outstanding and besides lapping the field in the third month, 1010mg takes a nine-touchdown overall lead into the last contest period. Surely, someone needs to stand up and catch up to this fella. Either that or 1010mg needs to start betting on these touchdowns on his favorite online betting site.
The final contest will span the final five weeks of the season. I know a victory for our leader seems all but guaranteed at this point but a big month can change things really quickly. Can anyone catch him? We will see.
Week 12 Takeaways
“America, please stop using a tight end to cover elite edge rushers.” Thanks, Booger, I will be sure to focus on that after I make my kid’s breakfast today. This guy is a national treasure.
Are the Jets going to be okay? If you have followed for long enough, you know the Jets are my favorite team — tough life, I know. With Darnold back, the offense is moving the ball. Can the offense keep this up against the better competition? We will need to find out next week because the Jets play Cinncinatti this week.
Lamar Jackson is a force. Admittedly, I really want him to win a SuperBowl soon because I am worried about his long-term prospects given his high volume of rushing attempts. By no means do I think the Rams are very good — maybe we overrated Sean McVay a bit last year — but boy, the Ravens destroyed them last night. Jackson is so dynamic. His ability as a dual-threat on offense feels unmatched. As his ability as a passer improves, his game is going to be fun to watch while he is still as explosive.
Has Matt Ryan ever come through as a chalk cash quarterback? This is 100% anecdotal but… I am going with no.
