Finding Paydirt: Week 15 Results

Happy Wednesday, Grinders! Chris Carson was projected to be a top DFS play on Sunday and he did not disappoint. Our pool of contestants was heavily invested on the touchdown side of things — with many participants collecting a minimum of two touchdowns because of Carson. Nobody played Kenyan Drake — who exploded for four touchdowns after I missed my fantasy playoffs. Ugh… In any event, here are an updated leaderboard after Week 15 and a few takeaways from Week 15.

Even with a Chris Carson fade, yours truly collected a couple of touchdowns thanks to Saquon Barkley on Sunday. That puts my total at five for this month (five weeks) which is still short of our leaders. PRBill1 and boomanfoo lead this period with six touchdowns apiece — with a couple of others tied for second with me. With his first submission of the football season, Bud_Grant pulled a “Drake” and collected four touchdowns on Sunday thanks to Chris Carson and Devante Parker. Just like that, he finds himself embroiled in this month’s contest if he makes picks for the last couple of weeks.
1010mg was on Carson so his seven-touchdown lead remains over PRBill1 for the season-long prize. With only two weeks left, 1010mg is staring at three months of RotoGrinders Premium on the house. Will anyone find a Kenyan Drake performance this week to catch up? Come back on Friday to make your picks. Until then, here are a few takeaways from the week.
Week 15 Takeaways
The offensive pass interference call on Tre’Quan Smith generated a pile of tilt in the joeycis household on Monday night. I got cute with Smith in my CPT on DraftKings but also used a free bet from DraftKings Sportsbook on Tre’Quan Smith to score two touchdowns. $625 down the drain! Thanks a lot, zebras!
My eyes will be glued to Eagles versus Cowboys on Sunday evening. With so much riding on this one game, a bunch of narratives will play out as well. Will anyone lose their job with a loss? Will Dak be extended? Can the Cowboys go on a run after a win? I am surprised this game wasn’t flexed into Sunday night considering the ramifications.
Are the Bills a SuperBowl contender? Last night, I saw them at +3500 to win the championship and +1400 to win the AFC. The Bills can travel in any weather and play a brand of football that will travel well to any game. I think they are pretty sneaky at these odds and want to invest before a first-round victory.
Thanks for reading. Come back each week to play along with the community and react to my weekly takeaways.
