Finding Paydirt: Week 9 Results
Happy Wednesday, Grinders! A day late is better than never… am I right? Please don’t be upset with me. The house is crazy. I have clearly underestimated the impact of bringing a third life into this world and what it would mean for time and… sleep (or lack thereof). Anyway, you don’t want excuses! You want results. 1010mg must have eaten his Wheaties before making his picks because he brought the first again. After winning a T-shirt last month, the man jumps out with four touchdowns to start a new month. Save some threads for the rest of us, man! PRBill1 got his share of the action and also opened up the month with four touchdowns. Both of these contestants will likely duke it out for the next couple of weeks while the rest of us try to catch up.
On the overall front, 1010mg’s four touchdowns put him squarely atop the leaderboard and the leader in the clubhouse for a free three months of RotoGrinders combo-premium. If I may, the premium content has been ramped up including the projections for the NBA season. This prize is no joke. Week 9 Takeaways
I lost my RotoGrinders seasonal matchup 100.1 to 100. I went to bed with a lead at halftime of the Monday night game. Obviously Saquon Barkley did enough to nose past me. I am so happy I was sleeping during this otherwise I cannot imagine the tilt of watching him fall forward to beat me.
The Browns really suck… I don’t have much to add here if we are being honest. This just shows that sometimes the hype surrounding an unproven team leading into the NFL season is just that… hype.
Does a quarterback exist in the NFL that is better than Russell Wilson? I try to avoid sports media hype but Wilson seems to be finally getting the adieu he deserves. We forget that he was drafted late and expected to be a backup on a team that just backed the truck up for Matt Flynn. By the way, kudos to Matt Flynn for earning copious amounts of money on the back of a spot start or two. There are worse situations than getting paid a boatload of money to find out that Russell Wilson is better than you.
Which NFL coach is getting fired first? At this point, I feel like heads will roll soon around the league with some of the performances teams are putting together. My gut (and heart) wants to say Adam Gase but I would be interested to hear who others thought could get the ax. Any dark horses? Should be an interesting offseason for the coaching carousel.
