This week’s NFL action will begin with a Thursday Night Football matchup between the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers. Through two weeks, the Giants have looked like one of the worst teams in the league, while the 49ers have continued their dominance from 2022 with a pair of commanding victories.
Ahead of kickoff, the 49ers are favored by 10.5 points on the spread. The game total is set at over/under 43.5 points. If choosing to wager instead on the player prop market, we have three prop leans for tonight’s matchup!

Giants vs. 49ers Player Props for TNF
- Deebo Samuel 100+ Receiving Yards
- George Kittle Anytime Touchdown Scorer
- Brock Purdy Less than 227.5 Passing Yards
Deebo Samuel 100+ Receiving Yards (+430), FanDuel
The New York Giants have one of the worst secondary units in the entire NFL this season, which has contributed to 68 points allowed through two weeks. Last weekend, New York allowed Joshua Dobbs to complete 21-of-31 pass attempts for 228 passing yards. Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are a significantly more talented team, and they are much better at scheming wide receivers open in space. Deebo Samuel is a weapon after the catch, which makes it a worthwhile risk to sprinkle on him to break loose in the open field tonight for a big gain. At significant plus money, this could be a fun wager to start Week 3.
George Kittle Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+200), PointsBet
George Kittle is always a threat in the red zone for the San Francisco 49ers, but especially so when Brock Purdy is under center. Last year, Kittle had 11 touchdowns in 15 games played – and he has accounted for seven of Purdy’s 15 career touchdowns. The New York Giants have one strong coverage linebacker in Bobby Okereke, but Micah McFadden is a liability, and Kittle is no stranger to a contested catch, even if he is well covered. At +200, this is worth a small stab.
NFL DFS Pick’em
Brock Purdy Less Than 227.5 Passing Yards, PrizePicks
The New York Giants have had minimal success slowing down their opponents on the ground so far in 2023, allowing 5.2 yards per carry to the Arizona Cardinals and 4.1 yards per carry to the Dallas Cowboys. In total, the Giants have allowed 273 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns in two games. On a short week, there is no need for Purdy to take unnecessary risks through the air. The San Francisco 49ers should dominate the line of scrimmage in this matchup, which makes it more likely that we see their offense rely on the running game.
