LEADERBOARD UPDATE AFTER SATURDAY’S ACTION
jetsr2cool moved from 4th to 1st place on Saturday, nailing a pair of massive bets. Oh, and they were both absolute nail-biters…
jetsr2cool had $17,250 on Army +2.5 over Air Force, and the Black Knights made a goal line stand in overtime to secure the outright win. Phoenix vs. Atlanta also came down to the wire, with a Chris Paul free throw with 6.5 seconds lgiving the Suns a 4-point victory. jetsr2cool had $33,678 on the Suns -3.5.
jetsr2cool sits at $65,752.85, an enormous lead over second place (PetrGibbons at $30,524.72).
Here’s the current top 5:
1. jetsr2cool – $65,752.85
2. PetrGibbons – $30,524.72
3. tus0323 – $24,981.81
4. Jfaid – $24,276.60
5. lsahr – $21,027.43
More fun stats!
- While jetsr2cool has a higher score than 2nd and 3rd place combined, they haven’t wagered the most money. That honor goes to BroBroYourBoat at $64,010.63. They had been near the top of the leaderboard, but a $30K bet on the Bulls moneyline (lost to the 76ers) has them down in 44th place.
- Jrake has a commanding lead on most bets placed at 1,104. Two 13-team round robins account for 1,001 of those wagers. Only two other players are even in triple digits (jmiles10 at 183 and RSCL31 at 103)
- lsahr is currently in 5th place having wagered $5K, which is $10K less than any other player in the top 10. A $750 bet on a Dennis Schroder + Jae Crowder player prop parlay at +1236 netted them over $9K.
Shoutout to our guy Grant Neiffer! He moved up to 3rd place at one point on Saturday, and now sits in 12th place after Russell Westbrook failed to go over 21.5 points.
EVENT RULES UPDATE ON SATURDAY MORNING
Due to some issues on Friday, DraftKings has made the decision to reimburse players who have exhausted their bankroll (refunded their $10K) and plan to reimburse those who finish the tournament with less than their original $10K entry fee (so if you go home with $6K, they’ll give you an additional $4K).
DraftKings director of sportsbook operations Johnny Avello explained the decision in an interview on the Vegas Stats & Information Network (VSiN) this morning.
Note that the decision means no new players will be able to enter the event over the weekend, as Avello mentioned.
