Monday, July 22nd

Happy Monday! I wanted to start out with a really quick Deep Thoughts With Cheese, basically just a follow up to the previous articles where I’ve talked about the increase in home runs this season. Way back in April when we first looked at this and talked about the juiced ball, I said that it’s quite possible that was just the tip of the iceberg for the home run surge.

Things that scare me: 1) Robbie Ray at home against one of the worst teams in the league.
    2) Rich Hill and his blister at home against the worst team in the league.
    3) Walmart on Saturday afternoon.

Sorry, I did have a question. I am considering two fairly low priced stacks on FD to allow me to roster Mr.‘s Cole, Clevinger and/or Ray. Cardinals 1-4 which is Edman-Fowler-Goldschmidt-O’Neill and Arizona 4-7. I am guessing Walker-Jones-Lamb-Ahmed. Is this short-sighted roster construction or something viable? Any thoughts?

I like both those combos, and would consider them both extremely viable. There are a lot of good paths to getting to the top pitchers today, my guess is that Arizona, particularly Lamb and Jones will be quite popular.

    Hello!
I use PlateIQ quite a bit, but unfortunately, I don’t see an option to export data (maybe my eyes are going and I’m just not seeing it). Is there any tools on this site that are helpful with exporting player data? Just so I can sort it and observe in my own ways.

*Edit – I realized I can add more data columns to Player Projections and export there.
