Pitchers
- Home Tyler Chatwood is one of the cheapest pitchers that you can take today and usually pitchers are that cheap for a reason. He hasn’t pitched yet this season and a matchup in Coors Field against the Braves is a tough one. Avoid
- Away Tim Hudson got rocked in his last start and the bad news for him is that he will likely get rocked in this one too. Pitchers usually never fare well in Coors Field and quite a few of the Rockies have good numbers against Hudson. He will likely be cheaper than he usually is, but don’t get sucked in! Avoid
Batters
- Home All hitters from both teams are in play today. Carlos Gonzalez is the obvious choice, he is a good option anytime he faces a right hand pitcher at home. If you like BvP numbers, Todd Helton is a solid 12/18 against Hudson. I also like a lot of the less recognizable players of the Rockies, so take a look at their lineup and don’t be scared to take Young, Fowler, or Rutledge.
- Away The Braves are also in play today. I was big on the Upton brothers last night and they both homered. I like them both again tonight against Chatwood.

Pitchers
- Home Madison Bumgarner faces the D-Backs tonight and I have already gotten burned by the D-Backs two nights in a row with my Vogelsong and Cain picks. I think Bumgarner is certainly a good option today, but eventually you should learn your lesson right?
- Away Ian Kennedy will not be in many lineups today, but he has pretty good numbers against the Giants in the past and will be pitching in a park that is certainly more friendly to pitchers than the one in Arizona. I like him as an against the grain pick for GPP’s.
Batters
- Home Vegas has this game as a pitcher’s duel and I agree. None of the Giants BvP numbers stick out and they have struggled to figure out the D-Backs pitching this series.
- Away The D-Backs have caused some havoc on the Giants pitching this series, but they can’t keep it up against these solid pitchers can they? Paul Goldschmidt is always in play against lefties, but I wouldn’t gamble on any other hitters.

Pitchers
- Home This series has been a firework show for both offenses, but I think we see a much lower scoring game today. Jon Lester has looked good in every start so far this season and has had success against the A’s in the past. Target
- Away Brett Anderson hasn’t been very good in his last two starts. He has given up 11 earned runs in those games and has a WHIP of 1.86 on the road this season. Nothing tells me that he is going to turn it around today.
Batters
- Home The Red Sox bats are in play today, but be careful of the lefty lefty matchups. Dustin Pedroia and Mike Napoli are the guys to target for the Sox.
- Away Lester has really been solid this season and it’s hard for me to see the A’s roughing him up much. And if they do, I’m not sure who it will be so I am avoiding the A’s batters.

Pitchers
- Home Roy Halladay has actually looked pretty good in his last two starts, but his strikeout numbers just aren’t there anymore. The only reason I would consider taking him today is his matchup with the Pirates. Over the last 3 seasons, Halladay has an ERA of only 1.18 against the Pirates in 4 starts that each lasted an average of 8 innings. He’s risky, but a risk that could pay off.
- Away Wandy Rodriguez has only allowed 1 run this season in 16 innings of work. He is pitching well and faces a Phillies team who have two of their best hitters batting left handed in Ryan Howard and Chase Utley. If Halladay blows up again, Wandy could get the win. He is in play today.
Batters
- Home The Phillies don’t have a ton of bats that hit well against lefties, but they do have a couple. Michael Young is riding something like a 15 game hitting streak and has always hit lefties well. John Mayberry is another guy that hits better against lefties than he does righties.
- Away Hard to say which Halladay shows up today, but he should have confidence from his last two starts and I expect that we see an on target Halladay. Hard to like any of the Pirates bats looking at their BvP: McCutchen 1/10, Walker 1/9, Alvarez 0/5.

Pitchers
- Home Justin Verlander was scheduled to make the start today, but yesterday’s game got rained out so Max Scherzer start got bumped to today. Scherzer has 23 K’s in his last two games and is a pitcher with extremely high upside. He is a big favorite and should get plenty of run support. Lock him in as a number one starter today.
- Away Wade Davis is one of those pitchers that largely goes unnoticed in daily fantasy baseball. Until I looked at his stats, I had no idea that he’s thrown 2 straight shutouts against the Braves and Twins. That’s impressive, but I’m still not taking him against the Tigers, especially looking at the Vegas line.
Batters
- Home Davis has been good lately, but the Tigers offense is tough to stop. Miguel Cabrera already has 2 HR’s off of Davis and makes a good play if you can afford him. Prince Fielder is also in play as he gets his two favorite things today: being at home against a right handed pitcher.
- Away Expect a lot of K’s from the Royals so unless you play on a site that rewards strikeouts, stay away from them.
