Pitcher Grind Down
- Charlie Morton – Morton is 6-2 since the break and has been pitched admirably for the Pirates all season. He rolled through the Reds in their only other meeting this year (back in June) but has not been quiet as successful away from Pittsburgh. Pitcher Rating: 5 out of 10
- Bronson Arroyo – Arroyo thrives when pitching at the Great American Ballpark (3.13 ERA) and is also 5-1 with a 2.22 ERA in day games this season. He’s handled the Pirates well this season and has proven to be a “big game” pitcher in the past. Pitcher Rating: 7 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Todd Frazier and Jay Bruce have both have very impressive BvsP numbers in their favor against Morton
Arroyo has always had his struggles versus lefties and Pedro Alvarez has taken advantage of that in their prior meetings (6 for 12 with three doubles and a homerun)

Pitcher Grind Down
- Scott Kazmir – The Indians will turn to Kazmir to help push them into the playoffs. He’s been very solid since the All-Star break (3.55 ERA), has been great in September (2.86 ERA) and has mowed down the Twins in four starts this season. Buyer beward; he’s been pretty terrible on the road this season. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Cole Devries – De Vries was embarrassed in Oakland during his last start and is, for the lack of a better word, a terrible fantasy option in a game versus a hungry Cleveland team. Pitcher Rating: 0 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Both Ryan Doumit (.289 batting average) and Trevor Plouffe (.299) have swung the bat well versus lefties this season.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jarrod Parker – Parker bounced back from an embarrassing performance with a gem versus Minnesota. He’s pitched very well on the road (3.17 ERA) and has faired well versus Seattle. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Brandon Maurer – Maurer has pitched very well in his last two games but has been knocked around a bit by the A’s this seaosn. He has solid stuff but is just too unreliable at this point in his career to consider for H2H’s or 50/50’s. Pitcher Rating: 4 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Lefties are hitting .319 versus Maurer this season.
Josh Reddick is 2 for 3 with a double and a homerun off of Maurer.
Kendrys Morales is 8 for 22 off of Parker

Pitcher Grind Down
- Jon Lester – Lester is 7-2 with a 2.29 ERA since the All-Star break. However, you should tread cautiously as he’s struggled on the road and has not had an easy time with the Orioles lineup. Pitcher Rating: 6 out of 10
- Wei-Yin Chen – Chen has been pitching rather poorly for over a month now and sports an ERA of 8.04 against Boston on the season. Stay away. Pitcher Rating: 4 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Matt Wieters hits lefties very well and has posted an .867 OPS versus them in 2013.
Dustin Pedroia crushes lefties. His batting average versus them is .349 this season.

Pitcher Grind Down
- Yordano Ventura – Ventura has pitched very well in each of his starts for the Royals. He’s only allowed one run in each start and has electric “stuff”. A matchup versus the terrible White Sox makes him a solid GPP play. Pitcher Rating: 5 out of 10
- Erik Johnson – Johnson is coming off of two consecutive solid outings, but a 1.86 ERA is not sustainable with a 1.66 WHIP. There are better options on the board. Pitcher Rating: 4 out of 10
Batter Grind Down
Avisail Garcia is 10 for 29 with a pair of homeruns over the last week.
