MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Friday, August 23
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stlcardinals84: Bobby Witt
SquirrelPatrol: Aaron Judge
ebeimfohr: Bobby Witt
Alex Sonty: Bobby Witt
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
stlcardinals84: Corbin Carroll – While he had a terrible start to the year and still hasn’t lived up to expectations, we’ve at least seen Carroll turn it on this month, as he has a .946 OPS in the month of August. He’s generally back at the top of the order, and Arizona might stack up to eight switch or left-handed hitters against Brayan Bello in a hitter-friendly park. Arizona is rising up my full stack rankings, and Carroll is my starting point
SquirrelPatrol: Aaron Judge – Judge is having an historic season that is testing the limits of the salary structure of DFS sites. He leads the league with a .726 SLG%, more than 100 points higher than Bobby Witt‘s .619 SLG%, and he is somehow heating up as the season goes on, sporting an absurd .952 SLG% and .508 ISO in August.

ebeimfohr: Riley Greene – I will continue to attack Chris Flexen until he retires, and Greene projects to be a nice pivot off other expensive bats in far more appealing offenses. But Greene has been outstanding this year, with a .365 xwOBA and .241 xISO vs. RHP, and hits on the road for the full 9 innings against Flexen and a dreadful Sox bullpen.
Alex Sonty: Aaron Judge – Judge against a bad lefty. C’mon, guys. Judge has a 31.8% barrel rate on an 81.8% hard-hit rate and a 40.9% fly-ball rate against lefties. Yankee Stadium is a great place for hitting homers, and Kyle Freeland sucks. Under 10% pOWN%, the answer is Judge. I don’t care about his price tag. There’s plenty to save on.
