What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: A 14-game slate is very tough to narrow down to a best single lineup or two. I also don’t see a lot of clear chalk on this slate, so we may not be able to find any big ownership edge to exploit in small-field contests. This has me leaning more to the MME side, where I can spread out to my top 6–10 stacks. Anywhere salary allows, I’ll get to as many of the top spend-up bats as I can afford and will only full-stack when salary forces it.
stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on single-entry contests. I will build 3-5 lineups in those contests. With the amount of pitching and stack options, it’s hard to narrow down my player pool. I don’t think 150 lineups is enough to cover the number of options. I’m going to focus on Tarik Skubal and the A’s. Those are by far my two favorite options on this slate.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I plan to go overweight on Tarik Skubal, even with his steep price tag and high projected ownership. At SP2 on DK, I will likely look for some savings from guys like Zac Gallen and/or Tanner Bibee, depending on projected ownership. Arizona is my top stack, but I will also have some exposure to Detroit, Cleveland, and the A’s.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type of contests. This is a massive 14-game slate, and yet we only have one team (Arizona) with an implied team total above 5 runs. This might explain why I like some offenses but don’t really love any. For this reason, I’m going to pay up for Tarik Skubal first before spending up for a premium stack/bat. It is possible, but I don’t expect my main lineup to be a full stack. Instead, it will be some combination of Dodgers, Tigers, A’s, and Orioles.
