What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: There is so much great offense out there that I am looking at this as more of an MME slate. What I know for sure is that I’ll be fading Mets stacks in smaller-field tournaments, but it’s not as if there are just one or two obvious pivots. There are like a dozen, and I want exposure to all of them, as well as having a lot of builds that are not stacks. With all of those bats, I’ll keep my pitching pool narrow, and I will also not get as much Tarik Skubal as I’d like. The savings to Spencer Schwellenbach make him the more realistic SP1, while still being able to get a couple of high-end bats. I’ll then be heavily invested in Will Warren and Ben Brown as salary savers to have as much salary as possible for the bats.

stevietpfl: I’ll be focused on small-field contests tonight. I think we have 4-6 pitchers worth taking shots on. That makes me lean toward fewer entries into smaller fields. Tarik Skubal and Spencer Schwellenbach are in a league of their own for me. I will fit them in as much as possible. By playing them as much as possible, I will be underweight on the Mets in Coors. I think the Brewers and Astros are underpriced for their matchups.

boggslite: Large-field tournaments – I typically prefer to pay up for pitching, but outside of Spencer Schwellenbach, I don’t love the matchups for most of the expensive options tonight. I’ll look for some savings at SP2 from Ben Brown, who has plenty of strikeout upside despite a tough matchup. This will give me some extra salary to load up on bats, where I think the Mets chalk will make several other stacks come in with lower ownership. Seattle is my preferred pivot off of the Mets, but I also like Kansas City and Milwaukee.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and small-field contests. I’ll likely have my shares, but I just don’t think it is a sound strategy to fully load up on Mets in single entry, as the “good” plays tend to get raised pOWN% in those types of contests. Thankfully, this is a big slate where there are more than a handful of pivot offenses that look appealing pre-flop, so I’m OK if I don’t end up with a pile of Mets. The Angels, Athletics, Brewers, Mariners, and Diamondbacks are some of my favorites. There are enough cheap hitters on this slate that I’ll be able to afford Tarik Skubal at least somewhat comfortably.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
