MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 13
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
squirrelpatrol: CJ Abrams
headChopper: Yordan Alvarez
ebeimfohr: Oneil Cruz
eys819: Yordan Alvarez
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
squirrelpatrol: I’ll continue to target stacks that have power and speed while targeting pitchers with excellent matchups. Brady Singer and Randy Vasquez are at different ends of the salary list, but they get matchups against Seattle and Colorado, respectively, who are the two teams with the highest K% in baseball.
headChopper: I am spreading out my pitching, as I don’t see anyone that I HAVE to have. They all kind of blend into the same group for me. With 12 games, I’ll be stacking heavy on every lineup. Mostly 5/2 or 5/3 stacks on DK and 4/3 or 4/2 on FD. With this many games and no implied team total drifting over 5 runs at the moment, I think everything will be spread out enough that I don’t need to worry about ownership.
ebeimfohr: I’ll be looking to my bats as differentiators, as we have a large number of exploitable pitchers, but we know all of those offenses cannot be popular. I will be looking to SimLabs later in the day to help me spot the most under-owned offenses. As of late this morning, it looks like the Nationals, Padres, and even the Rockies lefties are all in elite spots at reduced pOWN%.
eys819: George Kirby is an elite pitcher, but I will be underweight if early pOWN% holds. The KC offense has been pesky this season, and Kirby is closer to an average-strikeout pitcher than an elite one. I prefer Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Brady Singer for the strikeout potential when spending up, and Randy Vasquez looks like an upside option when saving salary. Offense looks to be quite spread out from a pOWN% perspective, and I don’t think any team will be over-popular. Astros, Padres, and Phillies will be my highest-owned stacks.
