MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Monday, May 18
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Aaron Judge
ebeimfohr: Aaron Judge
boggslite: Aaron Judge
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I prefer large-field tournaments with multi-entry. There is so much good offense tonight that I don’t think there will be a problem being unique. This is a night where I feel comfortable max-stacking every lineup I make. I think the major difference-maker will be at SP2 on DK, where being overweight on a high-upside option like MacKenzie Gore or Shota Imanaga, who is in a perceived tough environment, could be a tournament winner.
ebeimfohr: The combination of the Yankees against Patrick Corbin and Coors Field bats creates a sizable gap from the top tier to the middle tier of bats for me on this slate, which means I am likely to be straying away from the chalkier pitchers in my smaller-field and single-entry tournaments. The matchups for the likes of Bryan Woo and Yoshinobu Yamamoto are not so perfect that they cannot be avoided, and moving down the pricing spectrum also will allow me to afford these top stacks that are quite pricey.
boggslite: Large-field tournaments – There are several great hitting spots, so I plan to spread my exposure around and have a very narrow pitching pool centering around Bryan Woo. MLB weather looks like it will be a factor, so I will make sure to monitor it carefully but likely will not take any risks with pitchers in those games.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
