What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I prefer large-field contests with multi-entries tonight. With 20+ lineups, I can stack each team on a short slate like this. I’ll be overweight on the two top stacks (Braves and Giants) but will still mix in smaller stacks of other teams. After the Nationals and Cardinals chalk stacks, any of the aces can get blown up at this point in the season, especially with some teams having little left to play for.
boggslite: I’m playing single-entry tonight. With only 3 games on the slate, it will be difficult to get too different, so I will likely lean into the chalk, starting with Chris Sale, who has a great matchup at home against the Nationals. I think Verlander will likely end up being the chalk SP2, and I will look to differentiate my lineup by playing some Cardinals hitters.
ebeimfohr: With only 3 games and one pitcher that stands out far above the rest, I will be focusing on smaller-field tournaments with leverage plays surrounding Chris Sale, both at SP2 on DK and by using bats against some of the other more popular pitchers or the lesser-pOWN% bats in the popular stacks.
