MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, June 27

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Shohei Ohtani
Krayton: Shohei Ohtani
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 15-20 entries in the large-field tournaments. This is an interesting slate, and I am going to take a couple of stands. While I really like Yoshinobu Yamamoto and will be significantly overweight on him, I also like Jack Perkins as an affordable option. He makes for a great SP2 on DK, and you can use him in some FD lineups as well. The savings will allow me to get to more Dodgers exposure with my bats, and they are my favorite stack.

Krayton: I will be playing single-entry contests along with 20-max contests on both sites. While I like the top 5-6 pitchers that are projecting well, I am finding myself overweight on Jack Perkins on both sites. He is sitting with a 5.5 strikeout prop, which is the same as Logan Webb, Foster Griffin, Logan Gilbert, and Kyle Harrison. I want to be overweight on the Dodgers and the Nationals (especially James Wood and CJ Abrams), and Perkins allows you to get the top bats on the slate.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be keeping a really tight pitching pool, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Jack Perkins at the forefront. I’ll still be playing Reid Detmers, just likely not as much as his projected ownership. I’ll likely cut Logan Webb, Foster Griffin, and Kyle Harrison out of my pool. For offense, I’ll be mixing and matching my stacks a lot, as no particular team stands apart from the field.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
