MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, March 28

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Aaron Judge
Bobby Gomes: Aaron Judge
TJ Zwarych: Aaron Judge

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: The way this slate is spread out on offense, and with the lack of clear pitching choices, I prefer large-field tournaments. I do want to be heavily invested in the Dodgers, but I also want exposure to full stacks of the Yankees, Brewers, and Braves, and at least some Angels, Astros, and Tigers as well. Even beyond that, I can find more bats in both stacks and on their own that I want in my first 20-30 lineups. Since I’m spreading out with bats, I’ll just lock in Bryan Woo where salary allows, and my closest other thing to a stand on the pitching side will be Jack Flaherty over Chad Patrick.

Bobby Gomes: Typically, I play large-field tournaments, and early in the season, my player pool will be deeper. We are all in the same boat in trying to find the right spots this early. I will be loading up on Dodgers, Astros, and Yankees. With pitchers having the advantage early on, I can save some cash paying down for pitching, and there will cheap value pieces to incorporate into my favorite stacks.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field GPPs, and I’ll be loading up on the two LA teams. While the Dodgers are my favorite stack on the slate, the Angels are a close second, and I love the idea of loading up on them in tournaments. Chad Patrick will be my #1 pitcher, and I’ll likely be underweight on Bryan Woo. I will instead be loading up on some of the grosser cheap options.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (Epignosis)

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
