MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, May 16
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stlcardinals84: Nick Kurtz
Krayton: Nick Kurtz
TJ Zwarych: Nick Kurtz
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 10 entries in the large-field tournaments. If we are being totally honest, I do not find this slate all that exciting. There are a bunch of middling team totals, and I do think ownership will be spread out quite a bit. I will be most overweight on the Athletics and White Sox as stacks, while I will run a narrow pitching pool with Jacob deGrom as my clear SP1.
Krayton: I will be playing my usual single-entry and 20-max contests on both sites. I am going with a very narrow pitching pool that includes Jacob deGrom at the top and then Logan Gilbert mostly on FanDuel and Davis Martin on DraftKings, where his price doesn’t seem to move very much (he’s just $7,400). I have 5-6 stacks I am interested in, and I like being able to mix and match my favorites, which include ATH, CWS, LAD, NYY, and SEA.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I plan to go significantly overweight on a small group of stacks. I’ll be loading up on the White Sox, Athletics, and Giants. I’ll be underweight on the Dodgers and Cubs. Jacob deGrom will be my top choice at pitcher, but I’ll mix and match some sneakier options in like Jose Soriano as well.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
