MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, March 29
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
CheeseIsGood: Pete Crow-Armstrong
Krayton: Yordan Alvarez
TJ Zwarych: Yordan Alvarez
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: With how wide open this slate is on both the pitching and hitting sides, it seems like it would be a little better for MME to try and hit a bunch of these unknown situations. But at the same time, I am finding myself very narrowed down on the hitting side – more than I expected when I first looked at the slate. This has me preferring smaller-field tournaments and just going heavy on those few teams rather than trying to cover all my bases. The Cubs, Orioles, and Blue Jays are my priorities, while on the pitching side, I’ll be a little more spread out but with a focus on Jesus Luzardo and Max Meyer.
Krayton: I will be doing more lineups to start the season while also playing my usual single-entry contests. For my single-entry contests, I am focusing on stacking the WAS/CHC game while making sure to go a little overweight on the Nationals side, which should carry much lower ownership. With the wind blowing out at Wrigley and with most of the focus on the Cubs, I like stacking both sides of the game. For pitchers, Jesus Luzardo, Shane Baz, Grant Holmes, and Max Meyer are the group I am focused on.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I plan on fully fading Shota Imanaga. The wind is blowing out in Wrigley, so I want to target both of those offenses, but I’ll be excluding the pitchers. I’ll also target the Blue Jays, and I like getting to some pitching options who are projecting for lower ownership, like Grant Holmes, MacKenzie Gore, and Dustin May.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
