What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

Krayton: I will be playing mostly single-entry along with some 20-entry and 3-entry max tournaments. I am looking to have a pretty small pitching pool with Taj Bradley, Jacob deGrom, and then Max Meyer as one of my top cheap pitching options. The weather isn’t as favorable as it was in New York yesterday, but I am going overweight on the Yankees and then sprinkle in Texas, Toronto, and Cincinnati.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I plan to keep as tight of a pitching pool as I can while differentiating my stacks. My main priorities will be Jacob deGrom and Taj Bradley, while my top stacks are the Toronto Blue Jays, the New York Yankees, and the LA Angels.

tcsmith031: I’ll focus primarily on 20-max tournaments. I’ll be spreading my 5-man stack exposure on DK quite a bit. Toronto, San Francisco, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh are the full stacks standing out with a good mix of high upside and value hitters, while I prefer targeting guys like Aaron Judge and Mike Trout as one-offs rather than in stacks. I don’t mind eating the chalky deGrom/Bradley pitching pairing either.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
