What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I will be playing around 20 entries in the large-field tournaments. My strategy will be to go cheap at pitcher. There is nothing that I feel like I absolutely need to have at the top, as both Paul Skenes and Freddy Peralta have not showcased their upside as much in 2025 and have difficult matchups. I have no qualms about using Framber Valdez as my SP1 and cheaper options like Colin Rea and even Luis Ortiz on DK as my SP2. This will free up a lot of salary to spend on bats, where I can diversify among the top stacks.

Krayton: I will be playing 20 entries on both sites along with single-entry contests. I plan on saving money at pitcher, with Colin Rea being my highest-owned pitcher. CHC, BAL, and ATL are the stacks I like the most, and CIN is my favorite low-owned stack. I like paying up for the big bats. Colin Rea and Framber Valdez are at great price points on DK to allow you to get the higher-priced stacks.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field contests. I plan to keep a really tight pitching pool so I can spread out my stacks. Baltimore will still be my highest-owned stack, but I’ll differentiate outside of them. I plan to play a LOT of Colin Rea while mixing and matching Paul Skenes and Freddy Peralta in certain lineups, but I’m sticking to Framber Valdez as my primary SP2.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
