MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, July 25

Who is your favorite pitcher for cash games?

SquirrelPatrol: Dylan Cease
headChopper: Corbin Burnes
Dean78904: Dylan Cease
ebeimfohr: Dylan Cease

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

SquirrelPatrol: Gavin Williams – Williams is underpriced on both sites for this matchup against a Detroit team that ranks 9th in K% and 22nd in wOBA vs. RHP. The Tigers have an implied run total under 3.5 runs but Williams is showing a fraction of the pOWN% of the more expensive pitchers on the board despite allowing savings to spend up on bats.

headChopper: Corbin Burnes – He is very close to being the best arm talent on the slate today, although Dylan Cease is great as well. Burnes gets the benefit of the Miami matchup. They are projected to have a lineup with five guys with a strikeout rate over 25% and not much power against right-handed pitchers.

Dean78904: Dylan Cease – It is basically a 3-way tie for me, but I think Cease has the highest upside if all goes right. Cease has a slate-high 32.5% K rate while rocking the lowest SIERA (3.01) amongst everyone throwing baseballs today. Ideally, the Nationals would be a little more vulnerable to punching out, but we just saw Cease has the ability to overcome an unappealing opponent last time out as he struck out 10 Guardians. I’m good stepping down to Corbin Burnes or Max Scherzer if I can’t quite afford to get to Cease, but he is my top option if salary allows.

ebeimfohr: Taj Bradley – Taj is the one pitcher not projecting for huge ownership today that stands out. He is an elite-level prospect talent-wise and has been outstanding in 2024. He is striking out more than 27% of hitters on both sides of the plate, and the Blue Jays are a lackluster offense that does not scare me from a high-level pitcher.
