What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I’m splitting things up, with small-field, single-entry tournaments on DraftKings and multiple lineups in large-field contests on FanDuel. On DK, I think I’ll be underweight on full Dodgers stacks. I’ll squeeze in a couple of their cheaper bats, but I don’t think I can afford the top 3 or 4 most-expensive Dodgers. I’ll make up for that on FD with plenty of Dodgers exposure. Outside of Coors is where it gets interesting and where the slate will be won or lost. I think I’ll differentiate by taking a chance on cheaper pitching options and skipping secondary stacks.
Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. Of course, I like the Dodgers and their whopping 7.8 implied run total, but due to salary concerns, I expect to continue playing them more as mini stacks as opposed to full stacks. As for pitching, I am prioritizing paying up for Hunter Brown. I am currently ignoring the SEA/MIN game (Kevin Roth has deemed that game to be Orange), but that could change with a positive weather update. The Cubs and Rays are my favorite pivots away from Coors Field.
ebeimfohr: We have a deep slate with a ton of pitching options, including some appealing cheapies, which perfectly coincides with the Dodgers in Coors Field. I’ll be hammering the Dodgers in smaller-field tournaments and looking to some pivots at pitcher and around the edges, whether that be Dodgers bats projecting for lower ownership or unique filler bats around them.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
