MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Thursday, June 4
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
headChopper: Pete Crow-Armstrong
stevietpfl: Pete Crow-Armstrong
Notorious: Ian Happ
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
headChopper: I prefer small-field tournaments with limited entries. I will more than likely build just 1 lineup on each site. I like the build early on where I spend up and eat the Chris Sale chalk on FanDuel and also use him as my SP1 on DraftKings. But I like saving some money and taking a risk at SP2. I will certainly have some pieces of the wind game at Wrigley Field, but I don’t think I’ll be going overboard on it. Outside of the Wrigley game, I don’t think I will have any stacks, so I will just have a bunch of one-offs from the other games.
stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field contests. With the lack of pitching options, I’m going all-in on Chris Sale. On DraftKings, I’ll use a mix of Seth Lugo, Shota Imanaga, and Jared Jones as my SP2. I expect the Cubs + Sale lineups to be popular, so I’m looking for mini stacks or one-offs in those lineups that project for lower ownership. I also like the idea of stacking the bottom half of the Cubs lineup. The Dodgers and Pirates are my other favorite offenses.
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. I’m planning to eat a lot of chalk on this slate. I want to lock in Chris Sale and then get as many hitters from the Cubs into my lineup as possible. My lineup is not going to be a great large-field tournament lineup because I’m not planning on taking any huge stands away from the chalk. The one player with high pOWN% that I am going to fade is Jared Jones. The upside is there, but he brings a very low floor to the table.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
