MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, June 30

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Seiya Suzuki
headChopper: Seiya Suzuki
Dean78904: Seiya Suzuki

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I prefer large-field tournaments on a slate with so much to love on both the pitching and hitting sides. Because we have so many high-total offenses again, I don’t think we have clear-enough chalk to gain any edge from fading any of them, but I also don’t want to just spread out and match the field on everything. I’m going to go with mostly Dodgers and Cubs ahead of Coors Field and then play a mixture of one-offs from other games outside of Colorado, West Sacramento, and Chicago. My favorite stacks to get off the board are the Giants and Twins, and if I’m playing those kinds of contrarian stacks, then I’ll just play the obvious pitchers, mostly Bryan Woo with one of Cam Schlittler, Tarik Skubal, and Joe Ryan. For my more expensive stacks, I’ll use a mixture of Brandon Sproat and Griffin Jax.

headChopper: I am playing 1 lineup on each site and entering it in small-field tournaments that have limited entries. Large slates like this, with so many games and so many options, make it very difficult to sit down and build just 1 lineup. There’s just so much you want to play, but you only have a limited number of roster spots. So I’ll go in right away and start eliminating teams from my hitting pool that have any flaws. As for pitching, I see plenty of options across different price ranges, so it shouldn’t be difficult to play some hitters I like first and then circle back to pitching to find an option in whatever price range I have left. After that, I’ll go back to hitting and fill the last couple of spots.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I expect my pitching pool to be pretty condensed. There are enough cheap bats that I don’t expect to stray from rostering some combination of Bryan Woo, Tarik Skubal, Joe Ryan, and Cam Schlittler. There is so much good offense, and I only make a few lineups, so I expect to shorten the slate by cutting out a bunch of teams. In fact, I don’t see myself rostering a hitter in any of the 4 games that start between 7:05–7:15 PM ET. I’m going back to the SD/CHC wind game, but I expect to first prioritize the Dodgers. I like the Coors Field game plenty, but I have that game behind those teams. I won’t have a hard rule, but I’m not prioritizing a specific stack parameter, and I expect to have something like a 3-3-2 / 4-2-1-1 type of construction.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
