MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, June 9

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

CheeseIsGood: Pete Crow-Armstrong
headChopper: Jackson Chourio
stevietpfl: Pete Crow-Armstrong
Dean78904: Pete Crow-Armstrong

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I prefer MME contests tonight. It’s hard to separate the top three offenses, and I want to get exposure to all three of them. It’s also a slate where those three are so far ahead of the pack that I wouldn’t want to fade them in single entry. In MME builds, I can focus mostly on those top three (Cubs, A’s, and Brewers) but also get to some sprinkles of teams like the Rockies, Braves, and Nationals. Because of how good the offense is tonight, my lean is to go with cheaper pitching. If I can afford an ace, it’s Chase Burns, but I’m also content with Dustin May, Andrew Alvarez, and Kai-Wei Teng in order to get to the high-end bats.

headChopper: I am playing small-field tournaments with a single lineup on each site. I want to find a way to get Chase Burns on my roster and a couple of expensive bats from the teams with high team totals. From there, I can fill in around them with more value-driven picks. On slates like this, I like to wait for the batting orders to come out and see if anyone is hitting higher than normal and creating some extra value.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field tournaments. I’m going to build around my top three offenses (Cubs, A’s, and Rockies) with secondary stacks and one-offs that are projecting for lower ownership. I will use the Rangers and White Sox to be different. I want to be underweight on the Brewers. That’s going to be my biggest stand. As far as pitching, I like Chase Burns and Zack Wheeler at the top. On the cheap end, I like Dustin May and Andrew Alvarez.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests. I expect to have a small SP pool, with Chase Burns being a priority. If I have the salary to pair him with Zack Wheeler or Freddy Peralta, cool, but I’m more likely to be saving salary at SP2 with someone like Dustin May or Kai-Wei Teng. I don’t expect to fully stack the Cubs, A’s, or Brewers, as I will more likely get a combination of those teams to give me different lineup constructions (e.g., 4-2-2 / 3-3-2). I also might pivot to the Braves, who I suspect will be mostly neglected in the contests that I focus on.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
