What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

CheeseIsGood: I have a pretty large pool of offenses that are evenly matched, so I prefer MME contests. I want to get to at least 5–6 different stacks in primary lineups and am having a tough time narrowing that down for single entry. Either way, I’m going to keep a more condensed pitching pool with Logan Webb, Cole Ragans, Shohei Ohtani, and Bryce Miller. Those pitchers are all going to be chalky, which lends itself to playing the more spread-out pool of offenses.

headChopper: I’m playing multiple entries in large-field contests. There are plenty of solid arms on this slate, so I’ll be mixing and matching them. With around 10 good stacks in play, I’ll cycle through several, which naturally helps me pivot away from some of the chalk.

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on 3-entry-max contests. As much as I like the Royals, I’m going to take a stand against them tonight. I want to be overweight on the Astros and Mariners. I like the Rangers and A’s for power mini-stacks and one-offs. As far as pitching, I like Bryce Miller, Logan Webb, and Cole Ragans. In these smaller-field contests, I’ll look to be different with my mini stacks.

Dean78904: I mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field contests, as I don’t make a lot of lineups. My pitching pool will likely be limited to 4 guys: Bryce Miller, Logan Webb, Shohei Ohtani, and Cole Ragans. I may leave the light on for Cade Horton if the excellent pitching weather holds, but that should be it. As a general rule, I will default to rostering teams or players that are actually playing for something in the final week of the season. At the very least, I’d use that “rule” as a tiebreaker. I say that, but I do have some exceptions to that rule with the Royals, White Sox, and Athletics.
