MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, August 26

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stevietpfl: CJ Abrams (FD) / Pete Alonso (DK)
Notorious: Shohei Ohtani
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I’ll be focusing on small-field tournaments. I think the slates on FD and DK are very different. On FD, we have Sonny Gray as an option against the Marlins in Miami. We also have the Red Sox, Nationals, and Rockies as additional hitting options. On DK, I like the Twins as a top offense. On both sites, I’ll be underweight on the Dodgers. At pitcher, I like the upside of MacKenzie Gore, Gray (FD), Dustin May, Connor Prielipp, and Robert Stock. I don’t love any of these options, and I don’t think any pitcher is “safe.” Overall, it’s a boom/bust slate, which makes it fun for tournaments.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. My plan of attack tonight is fairly straightforward. I’m using Sean Burke as my SP1 on both sites and taking a chance with a cheap Michael McGreevy on DraftKings. My favorite offenses are the Dodgers and Brewers. Since I’m playing small-field tournaments, I’m not too worried about getting contrarian, especially since McGreevy will be low-owned.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I plan to play a ton of Sean Burke and Minnesota Twins. I’ll likely spread out my exposure outside of that, but I’ll have Burke as my highest-owned pitcher by a large margin and try to double the field’s projected ownership on the Twins. Connor Prielipp is my favorite cheap pitcher, but I’ll be keeping a really tight pitcher pool.

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
