MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, July 1
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
Notorious: Otto Lopez
TJ Zwarych: Otto Lopez
TastefulTides: Otto Lopez (DK) / Junior Caminero (FD)
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. On DraftKings, I’m going the cheaper route at pitcher. Fading the expensive pitchers always comes with some risk, but Shane Drohan and Tatsuya Imai both stand out in the $7,000 range. Saving at pitcher allows me to spend up on hitters from my favorite offenses (Marlins, Rays, Braves). On FanDuel, I’m siding with Zack Wheeler as my SP1 over Max Meyer and Paul Skenes.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be keeping a really tight pitching pool. On DK, I’ll be focusing on Tatsuya Imai, Max Meyer, and Shane Drohan, while on FD, I would hit the lock button on Zack Wheeler. I’ll likely have exposure to every team on this slate in terms of stacks, but Miami and the Dodgers will be my primary two.
TastefulTides: Single-entry tournaments and small-field tournaments are my preferred format. Early in the day, it appears as if the Dodgers are going to be pretty popular. If that ends up being the case, I will be fully fading them in single-entry contests and small-field contests. I am going to continue stacking the Marlins in Coors Field (even if ownership levels are high).
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
