MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, July 22
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stevietpfl: Shohei Ohtani
Notorious: Shohei Ohtani
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on 3 to 5 lineups in small-field tournaments. I don’t think the slates change too much between DraftKings and FanDuel. I think the Yankees are in a good spot on DraftKings, but overall, I don’t have a lot of interest in those 4 pitchers. It’s a weak pitching slate, and I’ll focus more on the hitters I like. The Dodgers, Padres, Rangers, and Tigers are my favorite offenses. I want full stacks and will build as many 4/4 (FD) and 5/3 (DK) stacks as possible. I’m going to build around Peter Lambert, Sandy Alcantara, and Slade Cecconi.
Notorious: We have a unique slate in that there aren’t any standout pitchers, yet there aren’t any super obvious stacks either. Every team total is between 3.86 and 4.87 runs. Wild, right? This feels like a good slate to get away from the chalk. I’ll eat some on FanDuel with the Dodgers because they are so cheap, but I like the idea of stacking the Braves on DraftKings. My favorite two pitchers are Peter Lambert and Slade Cecconi, who aren’t projected for a ton of ownership.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’m going to keep a really tight pitcher pool so that I can get as many pieces of all these offenses as possible, since none really stand out individually. The Dodgers are my top option, and although they’re expensive, they’re not tough to get to, since I’ll be prioritizing the cheaper pitchers.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
