MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, May 20
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stevietpfl: Nick Kurtz
Notorious: Nick Kurtz
TJ Zwarych: Nick Kurtz
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on small-field contests. I don’t see myself getting off of the chalk pitching. I’m right with the field on wanting to build around Shohei Ohtani on DK. On FD, I’ll also use a little Chris Sale. I’ll be fading the Yankees, and I’ll be overweight on the Angels and A’s. With the lack of hitting options on this slate, I’ll be different with stacks. I like 4-2-2 and 3-3-2 stacks.
Notorious: I love small-field tournaments because you can win more than 1.5x your entry without having a perfect lineup. You can also eat more chalk than you can in large-field tournaments. I want to play Shohei Ohtani and stack the A’s. It’s tough to do with how expensive the A’s are, so I’m going to stack the projected 3–7 hitters. This will help me save some salary and be a little different from the field.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be getting as many Athletics and Angels stacks as possible. I’ll mix and match combinations of pitchers, with Shohei Ohtani, Cam Schlittler, and Kyle Harrison being my priorities. I’ll have a deeper pitcher pool than usual because of how condensed my stacks will be.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
