Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stevietpfl: I’m going to focus on 3-5 lineups in small-field tournaments. We have a loaded pitching slate, where I’m keying in on Chris Sale as my SP1 while also mixing in Yoshinobu Yamamoto in that top price tier. On the cheaper end, I like Gerrit Cole and Kevin Gausman, while remaining underweight on Nolan McLean and Sonny Gray. For stacks, Coors Field is a great place to start, as both offenses look strong tonight. I also like the Braves and White Sox. My biggest stand will be on the Dodgers and Phillies (FD). While I like to focus on teams with something to play for, the pricing on both of those offenses makes me lean toward the Arizona bats.

Notorious: I prefer small-field tournaments. With so many elite spots for offenses, I am prioritizing my hitters over my pitchers. What I mean by that is that I’m filling out my stacks first and then seeing what I have left over to spend on my pitchers. I find myself taking the savings with Kevin Gausman at home against the Marlins rather than spending all the way up for Chris Sale against the Reds. Fading Sale should allow me to eat the chalk with batters in Coors Field.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing one lineup in single-entry contests, and I plan to fade the chalky Diamondbacks at Coors Field. I like the Rockies at lower pOWN% in that same game, and I’ll also target both sides of the LAA/ATH matchup, which features great weather and almost as good a spot for bats. They’re also far cheaper than the Diamondbacks, allowing me to spend up on pitching.
