MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, September 25
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
SquirrelPatrol: Paul Goldschmidt
Stevietpfl: Corbin Carroll
TheLuuch: Paul Goldschmidt
Alex Sonty: Paul Goldschmidt
Who is your favorite hitter (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
SquirrelPatrol: Masyn Winn – Winn is in the best spot a hitter can get, leading off for the road team in Coors Field. He has hit LHP this season with a .234 ISO, and the Cardinals have the highest implied run total on the slate at 5.44 runs. Rockies LHP Austin Gomber has allowed a .482 SLG% to right-handers this season, and that number could go up against the Cardinals tonight.
Stevietpfl: Joc Pederson – Arizona is by far my favorite stack on the slate. Mason Black has an 18.4% strikeout rate with a .217 ISO and a .378 wOBA this season. He’s also allowed 41.4% hard contact on 37% fly balls and 10.8% barrels. I like right-handed power against him. That said, Joc Pederson has a .258 ISO with a .404 wOBA and a 59.2% hard-hit rate against right-handed pitching this season. I love this ceiling spot for Pederson and the Diamondbacks.

TheLuuch: Christian Walker – I really like the Diamondbacks tonight, and that’s partially due to their righties being good reverse-splits hitters. Mason Black is allowing a .253 ISO, 13% barrel rate, and a .415 wOBA to righties. The Diamondbacks rank 5th in wRC+ this season and the projected lineup features a collective .209 ISO vs. RHP across the last 30 days. Christian Walker always hit righties well, and he’s been great in the last month, logging a .333 ISO and .362 wOBA vs. RHP.
Alex Sonty: Christian Walker – Eyeballing the arm angles of Mason Black, we would think that righties would struggle against him. This isn’t the case. Through 83 righties faced, he’s allowed a .253 ISO on a 13.8% barrel rate. Walker leads the Diamondbacks in barrel rate against RHP (14.9%), is a hair under $5,000 on DraftKings, and he serves as a direct pivot off of the popular Paul Goldschmidt.
