MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for Saturday, August 29
Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?
stlcardinals84: Seiya Suzuki
TastefulTides: Seiya Suzuki
TJ Zwarych: Shohei Ohtani
What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I will be playing 20-25 lineups in large-field tournaments. I like this slate a lot more than I thought I would when I first started looking at it. It’s a little more skewed toward the bats. The Braves and Cubs are my favorite stacks, and the Diamondbacks and Giants are potential sneakier targets in Game 1 of their head-to-head doubleheader. I also plan to be intentionally overweight on Kade Anderson as an affordable pitching target in the 2nd start of his career.
TastefulTides: I’ll be playing in a single-entry contest today. This slate is loaded with strong options, both with stacks and with pitching. I am hoping that I can get different at SP2 today, as I am most likely going to be eating the chalk with Blake Snell. With hitters, it will be easy to get different as long as you don’t play Atlanta bats. I really like the idea of getting White Sox lefties today. They are in a great spot for power hunting and should be low owned.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll be playing 150 lineups in large-field tournaments, and I’ll be going all-in on the Cubs with the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field. I’ll try to have full stacks of this team in a third of my lineups. Despite the massive slate on DK, there aren’t that many offenses I’m actually excited about. Blake Snell is my favorite pitcher, but I’ll mix in some Kade Anderson, Foster Griffin, and Nolan McLean.
Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

About the Author
Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
