MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, April 13
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
CheeseIsGood: I am more interested in spreading out and avoiding chalk on the hitting side while just focusing on the more obvious pitchers like Chris Sale, Joe Ryan, and MacKenzie Gore. While I expect hitter ownership to get spread out, the two potential chalky stacks I’ll be underweight on are the Braves and Blue Jays. I’m hoping we get an ownership discount on the Rangers because of Ronel Blanco’s strong start to the season.
Krayton: I have three pitchers that stand out to me as the top on the slate: Chris Sale, MacKenzie Gore, and Garrett Crochet. I will keep a pretty narrow pitching pool and look to get different with my stacks. The Rangers are a stack I will continue to be overweight on, as they have such elite talent, and they look to come in at low ownership today facing Ronel Blanco, who has had a great start to the season. I also like Boston, Baltimore, and Atlanta. However, I will be overweight on the Rangers, who had another great outing last night.
tcsmith031: I’m likely to cast a fairly wide net on the pitching front today. Chris Sale and MacKenzie Gore are clear standouts, but I think you can take stabs at lower-owned options including Ryan Pepiot, Nick Lodolo, and Garrett Crochet in tournaments. I don’t even hate the idea of punting a pitcher spot with DL Hall as a way of getting up to more expensive stacks like the Braves, Rangers, or Astros.
TJ Zwarych: I’ll mix and match as many different stacks as I can with a tight pitching pool, but the three teams that stand out for tournaments are the Rangers, Orioles, and Phillies, as they all have high upside without a single player projecting for double-digit ownership.
