Million Dollar Musings: MLB DFS Picks Today for Thursday 6/4

Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Dave Potts (aka CheeseIsGood) has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks today. Cheese, one of the preeminent baseball minds in all of fantasy sports and a winner of a $1,000,000 1st-place prize on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is here to muse about the June 4, 2026 MLB DFS slate.
Happy Thursday! We have a 5-game slate tonight that is pretty lopsided in favor of the bats. There is just one elite ace alone in the top tier, and then 9 of the 10 offenses have clear upside, highlighted by a hitter-friendly wind in Wrigley Field.
There is also an early 4-game slate starting at 1:05 PM ET, and if you’re playing that slate, we have Expert tags and analysis available in our MLB lineup optimizer, LineupHQ.
Thursday Pitching: MLB DFS Picks on DraftKings and FanDuel

This pitching slate is basically Chris Sale all alone up top and then just a small handful of other options to mix and match for some savings.
- Chris Sale vs. Blue Jays – 30.2% K, 6.4% BB, 2.01 ERA, 2.91 SIERA
- Shota Imanaga vs. A’s – 24.3% K, 6.3% BB, 4.37 ERA, 3.64 SIERA
- Justin Wrobleski at Diamondbacks – 16% K, 5.6% BB, 2.87 ERA, 4.56 SIERA
- Jared Jones at Astros – 2nd start of season
- Seth Lugo at Twins – 20.1% K, 7.7% BB, 3.55 ERA, 4.24 SIERA
- Kai-Wei Teng vs. Pirates – 25.7% K, 11.4% BB, 2.57 ERA, 3.83 SIERA
Chris Sale is in a different stratosphere than all these other options. The matchup isn’t great, but that would only matter if we had someone to pivot to. All I can really say here is that because the Blue Jays are a low-strikeout lineup against lefties, there is a chance that Sale can be just good instead of great. That would make it harder to get a must-have score at his salary, but even so, you’d still have to find someone else to play in his place and two other someones on DK. Let’s see what we find and then circle back.
