MLB DFS Picks: Top Stacks for Friday, May 2nd
Opto% Stack
LA Dodgers at Grant Holmes
The Dodgers are the top MLB DFS stack today against Grant Holmes, leading the slate in both optimal stack rate and overall stack rating in our projections, along with a strong implied run total of 5.13 runs.
While Holmes is not a weak pitcher, he isn’t on the level to suppress the Dodgers’ elite lineup. Notably, Holmes has shown reverse splits tendencies, making right-handed power bats like Teoscar Hernandez, Mookie Betts, and Will Smith especially appealing. Even more concerning for Holmes is his elevated walk rate-over 14% to both sides of the plate this season-which sets the table for big innings, especially with the Dodgers’ power throughout the lineup.
Nearly every Dodgers hitter is in play, and the lineup’s depth means you can stack from top to bottom. The combination of high walk rates, power potential, and affordable value at the bottom of the order makes this team the clear top stacking option.

Value% Stack
Toronto Blue Jays vs. Logan Allen
The Toronto Blue Jays are an appealing MLB DFS stack today against Logan Allen, supported by both projections and matchup data. They rank 10th in optimal stack rate and boast the 4th-best Value%, indicating strong upside relative to salary. Their implied run total of 4.6 runs signals confidence from oddsmakers in their offensive output.
Allen, a left-hander with a modest 18% strikeout rate against righties, is neutral in terms of ground balls and fly balls, making him vulnerable to lineups with potent right-handed bats. Key Blue Jays such as Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, and Alejandro Kirk have all excelled against lefties in the early season, with Guerrero in particular standing out as a top play and Kirk offering significant value. Anthony Santander also brings a strong track record versus lefties, further boosting the stack’s depth.
