Yankees vs. Slade Cecconi
The Yankees are an elite MLB DFS stack against Slade Cecconi, backed by the highest optimal stack rate in projections, a top-5 stack rating, and a strong implied run total of 5.13 runs. Cecconi’s surface stats are misleading due to a standout first start, but a larger sample since 2024 reveals persistent issues: he throws strikes but struggles to keep the ball on the ground, allowing a .251 ISO to righties and a .238 ISO to lefties. His modest strikeout rates (22.3% to righties, 17.5% to lefties) further highlight his vulnerability to power.
This sets up a prime opportunity for the Yankees lineup, which is loaded with power from both sides of the plate. While Aaron Judge is the clear top option, the rest of the lineup—especially lefties like Trent Grisham, Ben Rice, and Jazz Chisholm—are all viable tournament plays. The challenge is picking which Yankees lefty will deliver, but the entire lineup is capable of exploiting Cecconi’s fly-ball tendencies.
