Pitcher Grind Down
Zach McAllister – In 5 starts this season McAllister has a 3.14 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP and 23 K’s over 28 innings of work. He often flies under the radar in the DFS world, but tonight is not the night to take a chance on him. This Angels offense has really been locked in over the last two weeks and he is a sizable underdog. Rating = 4
C.J. Wilson – Wilson has a 3.33 ERA on the season with a 1.31 WHIP and 33 K’s over 31 innings of work. This is a terrific matchup for Wilson because he is excellent against LH batters (held them to a .232 wOBA last season) and the Indians’ lineup is full of lefties. Wilson will likely be under-owned just because he is facing the Indians, but that’s more than OK with me. I will be targeting him in all leagues. Rating = 9

Cleveland
Carlos Santana – Santana has been a great play over the last two days and will look to make it 3 in a row. He finally appears to be out of his slump and he has always had nice power against LH pitching. He is still dirt cheap across the industry, but won’t be for much longer.
Additional Plays: Ryan Raburn
L.A. Angels
Mike Trout – Trout’s numbers against RH pitching have been down this season, but they should go up as the season goes along. Over the last 3 seasons he has hit .326 against RH pitching with an OPS of .969.
Additional Plays: Albert Pujols, Erick Aybar

Pitcher Grind Down
Chris Archer – I typically don’t like taking pitchers against the Red Sox in Fenway. It’s not quite the Rockies in Coors Field, but it’s still a very tough place for opposing pitchers to play. Archer hasn’t been very sharp this season with a 4.11 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP. He should be avoided in all leagues. Rating = 3
Felix Doubront – Doubront pitched well against this Rays lineup last season with a 2.55 ERA over 4 starts, but is not a recommended fantasy option tonight. Doubront has really gotten off to a bad start this season as he has posted a 6.00 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP. The Rays hit LH pitching well and this should be a high scoring game. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
Tampa Bay
Evan Longoria – Longoria crushes LH pitching. Here are his splits against lefties from last season: .301/.383/.949 BA/OBP/OPS. He has pretty good numbers off of Doubront in his career and should come up to bat with plenty of RBI opportunities. Longo is my top play at 3B tonight.
Additional Plays: Desmond Jennings, Wil Myers
Boston
David Ortiz – Ortiz has always hit RH pitching well and is batting .277 with 5 XBH’s at home this season. He has a nice matchup against Archer who gave up a .324 wOBA to batters from the left side of the plate last season.
Additional Plays: A.J. Pierzynski, Grady Sizemore, Mike Carp (if in lineup)
Atlanta at Miami

Pitcher Grind Down
Aaron Harang – I may not have been the first one on the Harangatang bandwagon, but I’m certainly leading the charge! Harang has been incredible through his first 5 starts with an ERA and a WHIP both under 1.00. His last start came against this Marlins’ lineup and he struck out 11 batters in 6 innings of work. Keep using him until he cools off. Rating = 8
Nathan Eovaldi – Eovaldi has great velocity and is finally starting to put all the pieces together. He has an ERA of 2.87 with 30 K’s over 31 innings of work. He faces a Braves lineup that has struck out the 6th most times of any team in baseball. He makes a nice contrarian play in cash games and GPP’s. Rating = 7
Batter Grind Down
Atlanta / Miami
The total for this game is set at only 7.0 runs and I don’t think these teams will reach that total. Both of these pitchers are coming into this game pitching well and Marlins Park is a very pitcher-friendly ballpark. I’ll be using both of these pitchers in my lineups, but will be avoiding the batters.
Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati

Pitcher Grind Down
Edwin Jackson – I feel like I could write the same thing about Jackson in every one of his starts. Basically, he is just too risky to use in cash games and carries little value in GPP’s. He has a decent K-rate, but gives up too many hits and earned runs. He is one of the biggest underdogs on the schedule tonight. Rating = 3
Tony Cingrani – Cingrani is my top pitcher on the board today. He faces a Cubs lineup that has scored the 4th fewest runs and have the 5th most strikeouts. That’s a pitcher’s recipe for DFS success if I’ve ever seen one. Cingrani is a high strikeout pitcher and has already struck out 30 batters in 28 innings of work this season. Rating = 10
Batter Grind Down
Chicago Cubs
I will not be using any Cubbies’ bats against Cingrani tonight.
Additional Plays:
Cincinnati
Joey Votto – Not only did Jackson give up a .366 wOBA to LH batters last season, not only does Votto have a .991 OPS against RH pitching over the last 3 seasons, but Votto has also hit very well against Jackson in the past. He is 7/18 off of Jackson with 2 HR’s and 2 doubles.
Additional Plays: Jay Bruce, Billy Hamilton, Brandon Phillips
Oakland at Texas

Pitcher Grind Down
Jesse Chavez – Chavez struggled in his last start and will look to bounce back tonight against the Rangers who have had a tough time with the A’s pitching staff in this series. The total of this game is set at 9.0 runs though and Chavez looks like a very risky cash game play. His K/9 of 9.6 puts him in play for GPP’s though. Rating = 5
Robbie Ross – Ross has really pitched well this season with a 2.45 ERA and 26 K’s over 29 innings of work. Vegas doesn’t have much faith in him though as he is a slight underdog in a game that features a total of 9.0 runs. This A’s offense has come alive in this series and I’ll be avoiding Ross in all leagues tonight. Rating = 4
Batter Grind Down
Oakland
Josh Donaldson – Donaldson has always hit LH pitching well and this season is no different. He is batting .308 with a 1.05 OPS against southpaws this season and makes a nice play at 3B if the price is right.
Additional Plays: Yoenis Cespedes, Jed Lowrie, Coco Crisp
Texas
Prince Fielder – While Chavez is having a breakout season, he is coming off of his worst start in quite a while and he has to face a Rangers’ offense that isn’t going to stay dormant much longer. Fielder is off to a slow start this season, but it may be a great time to buy low on the All-Star.
Additional Plays: Elvis Andrus, Alex Rios
