Arms To Trust
Corey Kluber vs. Minnesota Twins
The Klubot is the most skilled option on this full Friday night slate. Despite the K% (27.5%) being more in line with his 2014-2016 stretch, as opposed to the monster 34.1% he posted last year, that still checks in as the fourth highest on this slate. Throw in a 2.77 SIERA, 2.7% BB% (insanely good), and a 48.8% GB%, and you start to see why he is one of the better (and most consistent) arms in the league.
I will say I have some concern about all of the hard contact he allows. He is approaching 38% on the season, and the last four games alone have been 52.4%, 40%, 40%, and 68.4%. Maybe the Klubot needs some WD-40 on those wires; I don’t really know.
