Blake Snell vs. Baltimore Orioles
I was going to make some sort of Jacob Snell ‘Ozark’ reference to open up this blurb, but that was going to open me up to all sort of spoiler problems. And that’s just not the kind of guy I am (we aren’t even finished with Season 2 in this house either). So let’s just move right on to a Snell of the Blake variety.
Snell has not been as good as his surface numbers indicate. A .246 BABIP and 87.1% left on base percentage are just way better than average. But that doesn’t mean he still hasn’t been great. Yeah, a 2.02 ERA is misleading, but a 3.46 SIERA is pretty darn good.
