EARLY SLATE
We’ll start with FanDuel this morning since they have divided the early games into “Very Early” and just “Early”, which makes me Very Annoyed. I wish they could have made this one slate somehow with more games, but it is what it is.
If you are playing cash games on the “Very Early” slate, your decision is essentially between Jacob deGrom and J.A. Happ. It is not news-breaking to say that deGrom has been the superior pitcher this year, but the price discount and better matchup at least brings Happ into the discussion. If salary is no issue, I would ideally like to take deGrom. There is absolutely no problem if you have to drop down to Happ though.
