Aaron Nola vs. Washington Nationals
I know there is going to be a lot of traction on Strasburg and Severino because of their price discounts, but I am honestly going to have a hard time getting away from Nola in cash games tonight.
If you remove his first two starts of the season in which the Phillies limited his pitch count, he has had a total of THREE of the remaining 27 starts in which he did not complete at least six innings. So while his overall strikeout rate of 26.6% might not look as great as Strasburg’s (27.8%) or Severino’s (28.5%), things even out a little bit when we know we can get 6-8 innings from him while the other two guys seem to be getting six innings at BEST.
Everything else about Nola is just so steady and consistent too.
