Below, you can find three of my favorite picks for Thursday, June 18th!
Best MLB Player Props for Thursday, June 18th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:40 PM ET on Thursday, June 18th:
- Sean Manaea Over/Under 14.5 Outs Recorded
- Brett Baty Over/Under 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
- Gage Jump Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
Sean Manaea OVER 14.5 Outs Recorded (-162, DraftKings)
Manaea faced 22 batters in his last start, throwing 84 pitches against the Braves. Since being reinserted into a bulk/starter role for the Mets, Manaea owns a 2.99 xERA, 3.49 FIP, and 1.01 WHIP across 25.2 innings of work. He’s doing a good job limiting quality contact despite not working ahead consistently in counts.
The weather is on the warmer side in Philadelphia today, but the Mets could use some length from Manaea. It’s also a favorable matchup for him, facing a Philadelphia lineup that has struggled against southpaws in recent weeks. This is a playable number.
Brett Baty OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (+110, BetMGM)
Aaron Nola has struggled to a 5.57 FIP and 1.78 WHIP across the platoon in 2026. Brett Baty has been struggling at the plate to begin June, but he still owns a respectable 43.3% hard-hit rate across his last 30 batted-ball events. Strikeouts have been a big problem for Baty, but Nola doesn’t miss many bats. This is good value for Baty to do something productive tonight, with great hitting conditions at Citizens Bank Park.
Gage Jump OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-111, Novig)
Jump hasn’t been a 5-and-dive guy for the Athletics since being promoted. He only faced 21 batters in his most recent outing against the Rockies, but that likely had to do with the elements of playing in Las Vegas as much as anything else. He needed only 75 pitches to record 15 outs in that matchup.
Prior to that start, he faced 24 batters against the Astros and Cubs, and he faced 25 batters against the Mariners. The Angels aren’t a terrible offensive team against southpaws, but neither are they an overly formidable opponent. Jump should have a chance to come out for the 6th inning this evening, especially considering the state of the Athletics arm barn. He would likely need to get hit very hard to be done after 5 frames in this spot.
