Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, June 9th

Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, June 9th:

Eric Lauer UNDER 5.5 Hits Allowed (-120, bet365)

Nobody would argue that Lauer is an ace, but this is still a high number for a pitcher who has a short leash. In 2 starts since being acquired by the Dodgers, Lauer has faced 22 and 20 batters. Thus, for him to allow 6+ hits, the Pirates would likely need to post a .270 batting average or better against him. The Pirates are hitting only .260 against southpaws during the last 2 weeks and only .246 across the last month. The math favors the under.

Walbert Urena OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-104, DraftKings)

Urena hasn’t been very good in 2026, but he still hasn’t been treated as a five-and-dive option by the Angels. He’s faced 23+ batters in each of his last 4 turns through the team’s rotation, failing to get an out in the 6th inning in only one of those outings. Houston is a team that isn’t afraid to swing the bats. The over has some value, especially considering that the Angels are coming off extra innings yesterday. They’ll likely take as many outs as they can get from Urena.

CJ Abrams UNDER 1.5 Total Bases (-149, DraftKings)

Abrams has been on a tear of late, with a 144 wRC+ since the beginning of May. With that said, he’s walked in 9.2% his plate appearances during that span. Tonight, he will face Adrian Houser, who has walked 11.5% of the batters he has faced across the platoon in 2026.

In the later innings, San Francisco has multiple southpaws they could deploy against Abrams. Every walk is a trip to the plate without a total base. There is some value on the under, with Abrams likely needing an extra-base hit in a pitcher-friendly venue to clear this number.
