Major League Baseball has 15 games on tap for Tuesday, beginning at 6:35 pm ET with the Guardians taking on the Orioles.
It’s always important to keep an eye on the MLB weather report before committing to any wagers. There doesn’t appear to be any extreme forecasts on the radar for Tuesday, but warm temperatures in Kansas City, Sacramento, and Los Angeles could offer a slight boost to bats.

Best MLB Player Props for Tuesday, September 8th
Here are my top player prop bets for today, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:35 PM ET on Tuesday, September 8th:
- Hayden Wesneski Over/Under 15.5 Outs Recorded
- Tanner Bibee Over/Under 17.5 Outs Recorded
- Corbin Burnes Over/Under 2.5 Strikeouts
Hayden Wesneski UNDER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-159, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSWesneski only threw 32 innings in 2025. Consequently, the Astros have been carefully monitoring his workload since he returned from the injured list in late July. In 7 starts, he hasn’t thrown more than 91 pitches, and only once since August 10 has he faced more than 20 batters.
The Phillies have 6 LHBs in their lineup on Tuesday, which presents plenty of opportunities for the Astros to go to their arm barn. Houston has Bryan King, Bennett Sousa, and Josh Hader rested and available as southpaws to match up with Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, and others in the Philadelphia lineup. Wesneski could be 5-and-dive in this spot.
Tanner Bibee UNDER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-107, DraftKings)
DRAFTKINGSBibee will have to contend with 6 LHBs in Baltimore’s lineup, which makes it unlikely we see him get deep into this contest. During the last 30 days, Bibee has struggled to a 5.69 FIP and 1.62 WHIP across the platoon.
Cleveland has a pair of lefties in Erik Sabrowski and Tim Herrin rested and available to match up with Gunnar Henderson and the other LHBs in Baltimore’s lineup. It’s probable that we see Bibee hit the showers before completing 18 outs.
Corbin Burnes OVER 2.5 Strikeouts (-156, Novig)
Burnes will make his long-awaited return to a big league mound tonight against the Royals. He hasn’t pitched in an MLB game since June 1, 2025 after undergoing Tommy John surgery.
Though he made only 1 minor league rehab start, Burnes also threw “upward of 50 pitches” in a bridge league game on August 29, per Max Ralph of MLB.com. Thus, Burnes should be good for at least 4 innings of work this evening.
The Royals are a high-contact team, but 3 strikeouts is a low bar for any pitcher to clear, even in an abbreviated outing.
