Kevin Gausman o6.5 Strikeouts (-115), PointsBet
In his last 10 starts, Kevin Gausman has recorded at least six strikeouts nine times. He has recorded seven strikeouts or more in six of those outings. Tonight, he gets a favorable matchup against the Washington Nationals, who have been striking out more often as of late. Since August 1, the Nationals rank 10th in strikeout percentage against right-handed pitching. During that stretch, nine of the 15 right-handed starters to face the Nationals have hit the over relative to their pre-game strikeout market number. Expect that trend to continue to begin the new week.
Cristian Javier u5.5 Strikeouts (-175), BetMGM
Simply, there is no reason that Cristian Javier should have his strikeout line at over/under 5.5 in this matchup. Entering play, Javier has recorded fewer than six strikeouts in 14 of his last 16 starts, per props.cash. During the month of August, the Boston Red Sox have struck out less often against right-handed pitching than any other team in Major League Baseball. This is also a hyper-proximity matchup for Javier after he just saw the Red Sox on August 21. All of the data and logic is pointing to the under in this spot.

Masataka Yoshida Less Than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
Masataka Yoshida has not been the automatic cash for us since the All-Star break in this market, but there is evidence that suggests he is finally starting to see the ball better. In his last six games played, Yoshia has struck out in only 8.7% of his plate appearances. Tonight, he gets to face Cristian Javier, who has struck out only 15.6% of the left-handed batters he has seen in 2023. Yoshida has a great chance to deliver for us on Monday.
