MLB Player Props Today
- Clarke Schmidt u15.5 Outs Recorded
- Fernando Tatis o1.5 Total Bases
- Masataka Yoshida less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts
Clarke Schmidt u15.5 Outs Recorded (-135), BetMGM
According to props.cash, Clarke Schmidt has only eclipsed this market number in seven of his 19 turns through the rotation this season. On the road, he has recorded more than 15 outs only twice in seven starts. Pitching away from home in 2023, Schmidt owns a 1.61 WHIP, which means that efficient outs are extremely rare. During the month of June, Schmidt threw more than 84 pitches only twice. The New York Yankees are likely to have a plan in place to go to the bullpen in the 6th inning here – take the under.
Fernando Tatis o1.5 Total Bases (-130), DraftKings
Ranger Suarez has struggled mightily against right-handed batters this year, posting a 4.19 FIP, 1.47 WHIP, and allowing a .272 opponent batting average. Fernando Tatis has mashed left-handed pitching, with a .315 batting average, 1.069 OPS, and a 189 wRC+. In Game 1 of today’s double-header in Philadelphia, Tatis has immense value at this price. Do not be surprised if he ends up having a big day at the dish.
MLB DFS Pick’em
Masataka Yoshida less than 0.5 Hitter Strikeouts, PrizePicks
We ran this look yesterday and it cashed, so we are running it back again on Saturday! Masataka Yoshida ranked in the 99th percentile in strikeout rate among qualified hitters heading into the All-Star break, striking out in only 10.7% of his plate appearances. Yesterday, he managed to put the ball in play each time he stepped into the box. Today, he gets another favorable matchup against Marcus Stroman, who has struck out only 18.7% of the left-handed batters he has faced this year. Trust Yoshida in this spot once again.
